I cannot believe how long it has taken me to set this up and finally write something! I thought I quickly introduce myself (if I don't do it now I never will, lol!) As you all ready know I'm Peggy, I have loved baking from when I was a child, ok ok ok!, I've loved eating cake from when I was a child, my earliest memory is going to my aunts house and always scanning her kitchen for the Tupperware container that housed her famous fruit cake, which I had to get a big slice of as I was it's biggest fan! I had to know how to make this (how would I be able to get through adult life without this knowledge?) So took it upon myself to spend a whole Saturday afternoon learning a recipe that has been passed down through the generations of aunts to nieces in my family.
I embarked on a journey of baking trial and error, cakes that were flat, sunken in the middle, burnt on the top not cooked in middle, rock cakes that lived up to their name! And not forgetting giving members of my family a bad case of gas due too much baking baking soda! All of that has lead me to here, beautiful tasty cakes even if I do say so myself! That I like to share with you all.
However I won't be doing that now, as it is late! And Peggy has got a 9-5 to go to in the morning.
